  • March 3: transition clinic

2/10 and 2/25 are MTB basics clinics:
- Come learn the very basics about your mountain bike! You will learn simple bike maintenance and basic techniques, taught by certified bike mechanic and skills instructor, Lynnette Wood. Do not worry if you are mechanically challenged or lacking in bike knowledge, that's why we're doing this! We'll be showing you EVERYTHING! Bring your bike if you can and go for an optional course pre-ride afterward!

2/11 pre-ride & skills clinic:
- Bring your mountain bike to Tyler State Park and let's take a ride! Led by certified skills instructor, Lynnette Wood, learn basic MTB skills instruction and then a no-drop ride of the bike course for the duathlon.
Meet at the Blackjack trailhead. The ride will include trails EZ, A, and B, with exit options.

3/2 and 3/3 Transition clinics:
- Still trying to figure out what to expect on race day? Come learn how to set up your transition, go through a mock experience of run/bike/run transitions, ask questions, and enjoy learning tricks and tips.
Though not required, you may wish to bring your running gear (shoes, etc.), your biking gear (helmet, mountain bike, bike shoes if you use them, etc.), a small towel or bath mat (to use as your transition area), water, & nutrition. Or, just come to take notes and figure out what will work for you!
