Rose City Cycling Feb 2024 Newsletter

Hey Rose City Cycling, here is your February newsletter!

We are thrilled to be serving all of our donors in 2024. Thank you for supporting our initiatives with your donations. There are perks involved as you know, one being, trying to keep you in the know. With that, here is our first monthly update email:

Happened in December - January:

  • The Christmas Light Rides had a huge turnout for the 4 different events that happened and an overwhelming response with over 80 participants in the Lesnewski’s annual ride alone! We’re already looking forward to the Christmas 2024 rides!!
  • The first NICA race was canceled and rescheduled due to weather. They will now run that race later in the spring.
  • 23 of you elected to snag an entry to Freeze your Fanny, and your dollars helped pay for 7 community members to go as well…
  • NICA coaches attended an OTB training led by Lynnette Wood. Huge success!
  • Kim Tucker and Fluidride Instructor Jason Land coached nine ladies at our women’s mtb skills clinic. Confidence was gained through the fundamentals of sitting and standing on the bike, followed by a trail ride. The event was held at Blackhawk in Whitehouse where Jason tried out the new wall ride afterwards. Look for more of these clinics throughout the year!

  • Bought flags for the Race Team at NICA.
  • Our City Committee held at booth at the Fit City event the first weekend of January sharing about cycling in our community! Way to go team!
  • Cycling community calendar meeting happened! Great meeting of the minds to share and plan who will lead what events in our community in 2024. Stay tuned!
